History of Our Chapter

The MOMS Club® was founded in the fall of 1983 by Mary B. James and the first local chapter was in Simi Valley, California. Word spread about the wonderful support offered by the MOMS Club® and eventually we became an international organization of more that 2,000 local chapters worldwide with over 100,000 members! New chapters are forming all the time!

All local chapters are registered with the International MOMS Club® Corporation. They all abide by the same set of bylaws and pay dues to the International organization every year. Each chapter sends a monthly newsletter and each President maintains contact with a State Coordinator. Each chapter has a local Big Sister who is our primary coordinator and helps us with any issues we may have. The international organization also maintains a Mother to Mother fund which serves as a charity to help any member dealing with devastating financial and natural disasters.

Our local chapter was established in September 2004. We were "sistered" from the Attleboro, MA chapter. We are currently only accepting new members who live within the city limits of North Attleborough, MA.

Visit the International MOMS Club website at www.momsclub.org for information on how to find and contact a chapter or email them.

There are many ways to be involved with the MOMS Club®. Volunteers are often needed for different projects. Every June, MOMS Club® chapters hold elections for board positions. Volunteering for any leadership role is one of the surest ways to meet people and help other moms like you!
